Ghanaian award-winning actress cum musician, Juliet Ibraham, has said she started singing while she was in the choir at a young age.

The 31-year-old made this revelation during an interview with Berla Mundi on Live FM Tuesday, July 19.

“I was singing in the choir when I was younger so it’s always been something that I wanted to do,” she said. “Whenever I have free time, I can just get into the studio and sing something. I also use whatever I write to tell a story or educate people,” she added.

Touching on the criticisms she has been facing in her music career, and why she hits back at fans, Juliet said 'there’s a limit to what people can say about others'.

“I see these comments on social media, and I don’t care,” she said. “Sometimes, there’s a limit to what you can say about people. For instance, I turned 31 in March and people were insulting me over my age. I was surprised. Why do Africans accept ages of foreign celebrities but don’t believe in African stars?” she added.

Juliet Ibrahim so far has two fairly hit tracks: “Celebrate” featuring Jupitar, “Sholala” featuring Amon, and "It's Over Now" featuring General Pype.
