Stonebwoy, Black Prophet get consideration nod

Both artistes are being considered for the "Best Reggae Album".

Stonebwoy topped with 9 nominations at the 2016 edition of 4syte Music Video Awards

Stonebwoy's 6-track EP dubbed "Livingstone" was listed for The Grammys voters to decide whether it's eligible for the nomination list or not. The album was distributed by VP Records and Vpal Music last year (2015) and the imprint made the announcement yesterday on Instagram.

Vpal Music wrote: "Another one of our releases that made the list of 'Best Reggae Album' for Grammy Voters to consider for the top five #Reggae #Grammy @stonebwoyb".

Black Prophet, on the other hand, got the consideration nod for his new album "Stories of Life". He took to Facebook to announce saying: "CALL TO ACTION!!! The album ''Stories of Life'' has an opportunity to be considered for nomination for the 59th Grammy Award 2017 for Best Reggae Album. To reach this destination,We have to make some noise, Push, Buy the album, Share the posts, videos, Worldwide. Facebook ,Tweet, Instagram to your friends, US Voting members do Consider Black Prophet. Let's bring a Grammy back to Africa."

Nominations for the 59th annual Grammy Awards will be announced on December 6, 2016.

Winners will be revealed on February 12 in a two-part ceremony with the majority of the 84 awards handed out in a non-televised event that afternoon while a dozen or so are doled out on the CBS awards-cast that evening.
