The European Urban Music Awards & the UMA Academy have announced the nominees for this year’s highly anticipated 13th annual awards ceremony taking place on the 21st of November 2015 in London.

Ghana's Shatta Wale, R2Bees, Mista Silva, DJ Abrantee and Fuse ODG have been nominated for awards at this year's Urban Music Awards.
Some have said that the Vexx Mad track is targeted at Shatta Wale

Ghana's Shatta Wale, R2Bees, Mista Silva, DJ Abrantee and Fuse ODG have been nominated alongside other world renowned acts such as Kendrick Lamar, FKA Twigs, Rita Ora, Ed Sheeran, Drake, The Weeknd, and others for awards.
Fuse ODG received the highest nominations amongst his fellow Ghanaians colleagues with two; "UMA Best African Act" and "UMA Best Male Act". Wale will compete with Wizkid, Fuse ODG, Silvastone, Davido, Patoranking, Moelogo, Yemi Alade, AKA, and Mista Silva for the "UMA Best African Act" award. R2Bees is also up for the "UMA Best Collaboration" award with their new hit "Gboza" which features Nigeria's Davido.
Each year, thousands of avid music fans decide the nominees for each of the 21 categories in the event, and it is these fans who will decide the winners for the 13th annual European Urban Music Awards ceremony.

The Urban Music Awards also announced a five year sponsorship deal with multi-market store, Mokingo.com.

Previous sponsors at the UMA’s have included; MAC Cosmetics, Kickers, Footlocker, Levis and more. DeChavel will also be offering the new DeChavel Royal watch priced at £3000 to each winner attending this year’s 12th annual Urban Music Awards.
The televised show will be broadcast on Showcasetv, Freeview channel 254., Sky 261 and FreeSat 402.
