Obour polled 88 votes to beat his contenders Gyedu Blay Ambulley and Appiah Dankwa (Appietus) who polled 22 and 18 votes respectively.
During the campaign period, Obour said he deserved a second term because his administration had chalked a number of successes. Ambulley and Appietus on the other hand discredited him saying, he is not worthy of a re-election as he had let the union down.
