Sarkodie signs singer to his record label, SarkCess Music

Award-winning singer Akwaboah is the newest addition to Sarkodie's SarkCess Music record label.

Akwaboah signed to SarkCess Music

The record label made the official announcement on Monday morning, March 14 via Twitter saying "ARTIST SIGNING: SarkCess Music is happy to announce the addition of amazing talent @AkwaboahMusic to our lineup."

Akwaboah, who is known for producing the entire "Mary" album by Sarkodie is the grandson of Highlife legend Kwabena Akwaboah, son of the legendary Kwadwo Akwaboah and a former member of famous Mariots International Band.

He wrote "Daa Ke Daa" for Becca and "Ayeyi Ndwom" for DSP Kofi Sarpong. Both songs won their respective artistes' awards at the 2010 Ghana Music Awards with Akwaboah subsequently being adjudged the "Song Writer for the Year" for "Daa Ke Daa".

Akwaboah, who is a master keyboardist, has played for several local and international artistes including Hugh Masekela and John Legend, and has assisted several musicians to make it big in the industry.
