South African rapper heading for a Grammy?

Is the rapper planning to take his music career abroad?

AKA is one of the biggest rappers in the continent presently. Over the last four years, AKA has risen to become one of the high profile rappers in Africa. He also has a sizeable following in Nigeria.

With his tremendous success in South African and African rap, has AKA peaked in terms of continental success? Is it time for the rapper to expand his market beyond the shores of Africa.

His latest video 'All Eyes On Me' featuring Burna Boy, Da Les and JR charting on BBC 1Xtra in UK, it seems the time might be ripe for AKA to move his music outside Africa.

Today the South African rapper posed with a Grammy, and later tweeted a bible verse indicating that he might be moving his music outside of Africa. ""Jesus said to them, "A prophet is not without honor except in his own town, among his relatives and in his own home - Mark 6:4" tweeted the rapper.
