Noble Nketsiah says "I Am Noble"

The first 20 copies of "I Am Noble" were auctioned and donated as seed fund by Noble to the project.

This is the musician’s major work after a six-year hiatus from the music industry. The last time he released an album was in 2009.Dubbed Noble’s Executive Launch, at the African Regent Hotel, the event also witnessed the launch of his social responsibility project dubbed First 1,000 Days of the Child Campaign.The first 20 copies of "I Am Noble" were auctioned and donated as seed fund by Noble to the project. CEO of JL Properties, Dr James Orleans-Lindsay bought the first copy at GHc5,000, while Mr. Michael Adjovu, MD of Midland Savings & Loans bought the next for GHc6,000.Spokesperson for ex-President Kufuor, Frank Agyekum, who represented the Chairman ex-President J.A Kufuor, bought the CD for GHc2,000; same as Patrick Blay.Mr. Samuel Afrane and Mr. Nyantakyi bought the CD at GHc1,000; while MP for Tano North Constituency, Hon Freda Prempeh at GHc510. Dr. Mensah, Emmanuel Appeaning, Yaw Amoako-Amoako, Olivia Klego, Nana Aba Acquaah, Soraya Anglow, Offei Nkansah, Rev & Mrs Mpeaning all bought each CD at GHc500. Mrs Larkai bought the CD at GHc200.At the launch, Noble performed five songs - Worthy Is Ur Name, Hope & Praiz, Sweet Love, Nhyira and Ayeyi; before performing some of his popular old hits including Se Metease Yi and Mometie - off the new album.Apart from Noble, patron were also threated to some exciting performances from Rev. Yawson, Joyce Blessing and Kwabena Kwabena.Campaign: The fundraiser for the campaign started with Noble pledging to donate 20% of all proceeds from his latest album (I.am.Noble), to support the social responsibility project.The First 1,000 Days of the Child Campaign is activated by the Ghana Coalition of Civil Society Organizations for Scaling up Nutrition (GHACCSSUN) with Noble Nketsiah as National ambassador.Initiated by the United Nations for Scaling up Nutrition (SUN) to support Governments and countries across the world, the campaign seeks to promote targeted action and investment to improve nutrition for mothers and children in the 1,000 days between a woman’s pregnancy and her child’s 2nd birthday.“As Ambassador, my primary responsibility include partnering GHACCSSUN in raising awareness (national and internationally) and funds to sustain the campaign,” Noble said in an interview.The campaign’s development partners at the event include representatives from USAID, World Vision, JICA, GIZ, Care International, FAO, UnReach, NDPC, WFP and UNICEF, Gain, Hunger Project and CRS. They will be working with Noble on theproject.“Funds raised will be channelled to prosecute 1,000 Days of the Child campaign through awareness creation, advocacy, community outreach and public education to influence policy direction, instigate behavioural change and enhance national commitment to increase investment in child nutrition in Ghana,” Verus Nartey, Noble Nketsiah’s Executive Producer/Manager said.
