Sequel is officially in works

While you are yet to get over the blockbuster sequel 'Pitch Perfect 2', a sequel is already in works at Universal Studios.

Following the box office success of 'Pitch Perfect 2', which has raked in $160.9 million in domestic box office, Universal and Gold Circle are moving ahead with a third installment.

While negotiations have kicked off with Kay Cannon, who wrote the first two hit movies, to return for a third, there have been no reports on whether Elizabeth Banks, will return to direct the movie.

There are no reports on cast members who would be returning for the sequel.

Considering that most of the Barden Bellas have graduated from college, fans can expect something new as the plot is bound to take a different turn.

It's yet to be confirmed if Anna Kendrick and Rebel Wilson, who were reportedly paid about $2 million each for Pitch 2, would reprise their characters.

Fans of the hit movie are also excited about the role newcomer, Hailee Steinfeld, would play in the upcoming sequel.
