Actress wins 'best actress' award at ZAFAA 2015

Nollywood actress, Kate Henshaw, won the 'Best Actress' award at the 2015 edition of ZAFAA for her role in the movie 'Iquo's Journal.'

Talented Nollywood actress, Kate Henshaw, won the 'Best Actress' award at the ZAFAA African Film Academy Awards .

The actress won the award for her role in the 2015 must-watch movie 'Iquo's Journal' at the event which took place at Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos on October 31, 2015.

The actress beat Uche Jombo, Liz Benson Ameye, Stephanie Linus, Belinda Effah and Jackie Appiah to win the award.

Producer of the movie, Blessing Effiom Egbe, took to Twitter to congratulate Henshaw.

The drama film follows the life of Iquo, who is a carrier of the HIV virus. Following all the tragedy in her life, Iquo stands strong and uses her experiences to help others.

The movie also stars AMVCA winner Femi Jacobs as Banjo Ogunleye, a filmmaker and Iquo’s husband.

The movie which premiered in Nigerian cinemas on September 25, 2015, also stars Malachi Hart, Blessing Effiom Egbe, and Josephine Ewuru.
