Association hit with a bang

The guild seems to be in crisis as three executive positions are vacant.

Vivian Achor, Vice President of the Guild left the country a year ago

The guild seems to be in crisis as three executive positions are vacant. The president, Eddie Coffie and Solomon Sampah passed on in October 2015 and January 2016 respectively. Vivian Achor who is the vice president is reported to have travelled outside the country for more than a year without informing anyone.

This, according to Mr Netteyson has necessitated plans to conduct an election to elect new crop of executives to steer the affairs of the guild.

“After the funeral on 30 April, we will start planning fully second week in May for the election,” he told Hitz News.

“Apart from that, we don’t have money so if you can help us organise some, we can do it as soon as possible. We are finding it difficult to,” Mr Netteyson added.

Over the years, a number of actors have argued that they have not been part of the guild because it has lost its relevance.
