Dry scalp usually occurs when there is a low intake of water, as a result of eczema, weather changes and more but these simple ways are the best to tackle it.

Dry Scalp can happen to anyone. It’s usually characterized by loose, white, powdery flakes. Its occurs when the natural glands that produce natural oil for the scalp is dehydrated.

This dehydration can be due to weather changes, not drinking enough water or skin conditions like eczema.

Dandruff and dry scalp  are often mistaken for each other but dry scalp is a less serious condition compared to dandruff.

There are simple ways to deal with dry scalp and that's what we are dishing on today's Pulse Daily.

1. Natural Oils

The key to combating dry scalp is to incorporate natural oils into your hair care regimen.  Olive and coconut oil has anti-fungal and anti-bacterial properties and they also absorb easily into the scalp. Jojoba Oil most closely resembles sebum or the oily secretion of the sebaceous glands that acts as a lubricant for the hair and skin and provides some protection against bacteria.

So by all means use Jojoba oil, coconut oil, olive oil, peppermint and Castor oil to tackle dry scalp.

2. Apple Cider Vinegar

Apple cider vinegar rinses are great for dry scalp as well.

Mix a solution of 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar to 3 cups of water, pour into a spray bottle, spray this mix generously into the hair, cover with a plastic cap, and let sit for 20-30 minutes.

This mix rinses out clean, removes product buildup, and also adds shine and restores the hair's pH to its normal state.
