Christmas celebrations in Ghana like many other parts of the world are happy moments for families and friends.

In the Western region, it is a day where large numbers of people and masqueraders are brought together to celebrate the West Side Carnival; an annual event of the gathering of masquerading groups in the region.

On the morning of December 25, 2015, the street of Takoradi Amanful, the  grounds for the West Side Carnival was filled with both the young and old, clad in their colorful masquerading costume dancing to special tunes for the occassion.
