Israel, France, Denmark putting in place strict modelling laws for underweight models

Following France closely on model health requirements is Denmark.

Earlier in the month, France revealed plans to pass into law a bill to discourage unhealthy model practices/ultra thin models and now Denmark is looking to the exact thing.

Denmark has revealed plans to use the which according to New York Times is a document put in place by Danish Fashion Organization, model union, eight model agencies and a eating disorder support group.

The charter includes guidelines like an age limit for models (which is 16), healthy foods to consume, annual health checkups and more, all binding on models and respective agencies.

Brands etc must sign the charter before any fashion week and  brands who continually go against the guidelines will ultimately be publicly shamed with a blacklist posted online.

Guess we would be seeing more fashion capitals impose strict model guidelines.
