A well crafted, innovative advert can do wonders for the brand it sells, leaving a lasting impression on the mind of a viewer either through it's sheer hilarity or a catchy song, character or scene.

Have a look at Pulse.com.gh's selection of some of the most memorable ads in recent years.

Adonko Bitters

Adonko Bitters has been in the news over the last few days, getting a lot of stick for an Easter celebration they sponsored that ended up with many patrons - most of them unfortunately minors -  passing out from excessive consumption. The product, it's fair to say, is in crisis, appealing a ban from the Food and Drugs Board, but they may just survive the heat based on the public affection they managed to garner from the heavenly song they made their ad with.

I mean, who doesn't like that song that makes all hairs stand up in awe and respect? A song that can make hard guys tear up, and make people with horrible voices commit ear murder by attempting its high notes? And the best part is, we all pretend to know the lyrics, all have our versions of it. ADONKO FAMENKO OO AAAADEEEE GBADEEE GBAAAMMM!!!. Life-changing stuff. Adonko's blessed.

Cargo gin bitters

We all love a great love story, and that's why we fell in love with Chinese Kofi Ghana, and Obumpa Oboshie in this epic Cargo Gin bitters ad.

What's there not to like?

Oboshie! Wosooo! Spermsosophysical mentality! Shaaaalaitoi!

Vodafone One Ghana Advert

Rick Ross obviously hogged the spotlight in this one, but the unsung hero really is the woman by the drying line. She made 'unlooking' cool before it became a thing. Look at that swag-filled nonchalance employed in her dance? And the seriousness on her face?!

Kasapa Free Night calls

"Ehhh, it's a wrong number!"

Don't you just love how adorably funny the woman is, annoying her poor husband and all

Kasapa scored big with this one.

Joy Dadi

"Woara wo joy aaaa..."

Joy Dadi has managed to make itself more recognizable than the original JD of the liquor world - Jack Daniel's - with their joyful ads.

What makes this our favourite is obviously the Adjoa Smart factor. She made a four-second appearance but still managed to steal the show.

I mean, the woman slayed a cow and brought it's head - fully geared in onion ear rings - to the party.

And look at that smile. Lovable legend.

Brukutu Ginger

This ad's song is so awesome we forget that it doesn't even have any storyline.

That's why it's a winner.

"Ei brukutubrukutu GALOKPE GALOKPEEE!"

Tigo Cash

This ad is so well-shot, and the acting is on point.

Plus, it's a subtle dig at how women hate to see guys having fun.

(*tongue in cheek*)

Tigo network quality

"Honey coochie coochiiieee!"

This is how to do an ad that sticks. The phrase above became so popular - and in fact still is. And then there's the charismatic protagonist.

Props to the concept creators.
