Women in India using Nokia 3310 as alternative for pricey vibrators

According to the women, the vibration from the old 'dumb' Nokia phones have stronger vibration compared to vibrators.

It has emerged that some women in India are ditching vibrators for a relatively old-school technology, the Nokia 3310.

The revelations emerged from the results of a survey that sought to investigate masturbation among women.

"The old Nokia vibrating phone made several appearances on this survey…We have no idea why that company is not the market leader after this", says Agents of Ishq, the group that carried out the survey.

During the survey, the use of the old ‘dumb’ Nokia phones (not the recently announced version) came up surprisingly among the list of thing that help the women surveyed achieve satiation.

In a country where the cheapest vibrator would set you back by about 2,449 rupees (167 cedis), the Nokia 3310 which cost about 1100 rupees (80 cedis) does not only have stronger vibration but is economical to India’s women.

The survey is however not extensive as it polled only 100 women for the study. Masturbation is deeply frowned upon in many societies as immoral.
