Israel's police spokesman Micky Rosenfeld said around 30 people had been injured in the collapse.

Tel Aviv Police Chief Chico Edri also confirmed at a press conference later that five people were missing.

The cause of the collapse is yet to be known.

Israel has seen an unusually high number of construction accidents.

Israeli newspaper Haaretz reported in May that 480 people were killed in construction accidents between 2000 and 2015.
