Bamboo engineering; The Boomers International story

Boomers international started operations in August 2014 after a decision was taken by the CEO and founder Kwabena Danso to go commercial with a project which started as a nonprofit to train young people

 

Boomers International is a bamboo bicycle making company in a small village of Apaa in the Ashanti region.

It is a young enterprise which is producing and exporting bamboo bicycle frames.

Boomers international started operations in August 2014 after a decision was taken by the CEO and founder Kwabena Danso to go commercial with a project which started as a nonprofit to train young people in rural areas on how to use bamboo to make bicycles.

The company uses indigenous material, bamboo to produce bicycle frames for export. According to research bamboo strength and durability is incomparable to other wood.
