The two day conference on the theme: “SDG 2 and 12! Creating sustainable means of nutrition is a shared responsibility” will focus on food availability, losses, accessibility and emphasise food recovery along the food supply chain and community farming.

Organiser of the event and founder of Food for All Ghana, chef Elijah Amoo Addo said the conference will highlight the need for integrated approaches from public-private partnerships with the goal of launching a cross-sectoral alliance and establishing concrete commitments to reduce food loss and waste throughout the food supply chain.

Amoo Addo uses food donated from companies to create sustainable means of nutrition for the vulnerable in society. He and a team of volunteers often go to schools, communities and orphanages to cook meals for the vulnerable with donated food.

Ghana's Vice President, Paa Kwesi Amissah Arthur is set to launch the event, with the “my right to food” campaign, a programme which will educate Ghanaians on the universal rights and responsibility on caring for the vulnerable in society, which forms the base belief at Food for All Ghana.
