Experts say eating a healthy diet can improve a woman’s ability to having a healthy baby. Here are five foods you should consume more to increase the level of your fertility.

1.Leafy greens

2. Foods with high protein

Eating foods with high protein can also increase your chances of conceiving a baby. Diets of about 25% and less carbohydrates. Consider eating beans, meats, eggs and egg white, legumes, soy beans are higher protein sources which are also rich in iron.

3. Sea foods

Pregnant women are required to take in omega 3 for their baby’s brain development says Lisa Ayeh.  It is very critical for women who are planning to have a baby to eat a lot of sea foods. Sea foods like salmon, tilapia, shrimps and lobsters contains omega 3 fatty acids and they prevent cholesterol levels, builds strong bones and supports good mode. Sometimes it takes women about six weeks to discover they are pregnant so if you are planning to get pregnant then you should start consuming fish servings especially salmon each week to begin the brain development process as soon as the baby settles in the womb.

4. Fruits and Vegetables

Don’t slack on eating enough fruits and vegetables. At least 3 to 5 servings of fruits daily will prepares your body for a baby. Fruits and vegetables provides a host of essentials nutrients and antioxidants which helps decrease inflammation in the body say Miss Ayeh.

5. Cereals

According Dietician Lisa Ayeh, women who plan on getting pregnant any time soon should consume foods rich in folic acid. Foods like  dried beans, peas, orange, whole wheat helps the body to the produce and the maintain dead cells and prevents changes during pregnancy.

Now is the appropriate time to pay attention to your diet. You should learn to develop a healthy eating habit. Cease eating sweets and junk foods say Lisa Ayeh. Foods without any nutrition will only kill your dreams of becoming a mother.
