Fear and panic as woman opens plane's door midair saying “I am God"

It took male passengers to restrain the woman, and when the plane landed at Boise airport, she was taken into detention at the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare on Monday for medical examination.

There was fear and panic among passengers aboard a United Express Flight 5449 flying from San Francisco to Boise, the capital of Idaho when a woman tried to open the door of the plane while screaming “I am God, I am God, I am God.”

One of the 73 passengers, Scott T. Smith, from California is quoted as saying: “She wasn’t acting right, or normal, from the very beginning [of the flight]. I read it as: One of them is trying to get over the fear of flying … I could tell that one or both were uneasy with flying.”

Smith added that: “I could see her laying on the floor. The flight staff were real calm. Everyone on the flight was quite calm.”

As if the woman was conversing with someone, she reportedly said: “God has all the data.” “I don’t have any data.” “We landed in Boise 15 minutes ago.” “For three years.”
