A 60 year old farmer, Halidu Bamsu, was trapped and burnt to death by a raging fire on his farm in Adumasa, a farming community.
According to reports, The deceased had set the fire to a parcel of farm land he was preparing for cultivation, but the fire got out of control and trapped him.
Police Inspector Daniel Otabil, the officer in charge of the Adiembra Police Station, confirmed the incident to the Ghana News Agency (GNA), and said it happened at about on Monday.
He said after the people in the community realized that he had not returned from the farm, a search party was organized and the charred body was found on the farm.
The body had since been deposited at the Toase Hospital Mortuary for autopsy, GNA reported.
Police Inspector Otabil said the incident was being investigated.
