Woman jumps from Burj Khalifa after split with boyfriend

Nunes met her boyfriend in 2011, and from Whatsapp messages, their relationship could be described as rocky.

Laura Vanessa Nunes, a 39 year old South African woman jumped to her death from the tallest building in the world, the Burj Khalifa in Dubai after she split from her rich boyfriend.

She jumped from the 148th floor last November after the rocky relationship with her boyfriend ended. Her body was found on the third floor of the building.

Now, a new rail has been added to balconies. This would stop anyone from jumping from the tallest building i the world.

In 2011, an Indian man also committed suicide at the Burj Khalifa after he jumped from the 147th floor.
