Host of Metro TV morning show, Randy Abbey is the latest to be involved in a rape scandal with a lady of the University of Ghana.
Intelligence report picked by The Al-hajj has revealed that the opposition New Patriotic Party, is leaving no stone unturned in its attempts to cast President John Dramani Mahama in bad light, has lined up some allies of the President for character assassination.
The latest to suffer this crude political tactics in the coming days, this paper gathered, is bankroller of premier league side Kpando Hearts of Lions and host Metro TV’s Good Morning Ghana, Randy Abbey.
Reports gathered by this paper indicate that power tasty strategist of the opposition party have lined up media houses and party communicators, particularly those on social media, to give prominence to an alleged rape scandal involving the ace football administrator.
Reports are that the tape, recorded last year to smear Randy Abbey, and which is currently circulating among certain group of people, is expected to be made public any time this week.
On the said tape meant to be played on particular a radio station (name withheld), a lady claiming to be a student of University of Ghana was heard making serious rape allegations against Randy Abbey.
However, the tape could not make headlines last year because those behind it thought it could not achieve the intended purpose at that time.
Sources with deep knowledge about the plot disclosed to The Al-hajj that, with recent alleged reported sex scandals involving some prominent journalists, those behind the conspiracy believe it is opportune time to do in Randy Abbey with the supposed scandalous rape tape.
The agenda, according to sources, is to give prominence to the tape in the media, especially social media, and link it to President Mahama, as one who associates himself with persons with questionable characters.
This wicked act, this paper has gathered, is in sync with the opposition NPP’s agenda to foist scandalous stories on the neck of President Mahama, his wife, family and acquaintances with the aim of hoodwinking unsuspecting Ghanaians and the international community in believing that the President is unfit to lead the country.
Early this year, The Al-hajj reported of how the NPP have put together intelligence experts to spy on the President and get him implicated in scandals at all cost.
In a failed attempt to achieve this, the NPP linked the recently jailed cocaine baroness to the first family and subsequently planted a false story in the media about how first lady Madam Lordina Mahama was arrested at Heathrow Airport for money laundering.
Having so far failed in all attempts to implicate the President in scandals, the NPP is said to have altered their devious tactics by targeting aides and allies of the President for mudslinging.
