Patience Belinda Gyamfi, a 32-year-old woman, has legally married two men with the support of her family to amass their wealth.

According to Police investigation, Belinda married her first husband Maximus Anumah, staff of 37 military Hospital in 2012 and subsequently married Audrey Atikpo, a Ghanaian citizen based in the US in January 2013.

It was reviewed that her first marriage was registered under the Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA) and the second, in Somanya in the Eastern Region.

The report disclosed that in mid-January 2013, Belinda mischievously told her first husband, Anumah, she wants to seek God’s intervention for her bareness at the Edumfa prayer club. Unbeknown to the husband, she was going for a secret wedding with her second husband.

According to Mr. Anumah, Belinda’s demeanor changed towards him, causing several arguments. He added that, instead of her father making amends, he insisted the couples break up by presenting some drinks and GHC 300.000 to him, which he suspiciously rejected.

This, Mr. Anumah, said prompted him to search for clues which led the note bearing Audrey Atipko’s identity and further communications with him.

Belinda upon finding out her double life had been discovered packed her things from Mr. Anumah’s house to Atipko house.
