A 53-year-old preacher, Bill Phelps from Topeka in Kansas has claimed that he had converted his 23-year-old son back to Christianity from Islam, by forcibly making him eat an entire Bible.

The leader of Holy Zion Topeka Baptist Church said his 23-year old son had “briefly flirted with Islam” two years ago, but after tying him one night and forcing him to consume the Bible, they have been able to “bring him back in God’s light”.

“He wouldn’t listen to us when we warned him about Hell, so we figured we had to get the word of God inside him one way or another.”

Bill Phelps said in an interview with TWBC-FM that he and his wife arrested their son unawares and tied him until he finished the entire Bible.

“He knew we wouldn’t let him go until he finished, so he ate it all. It took him more than six hours. We spent the entire time praying and splashing him with holy water,” Phelps said.

According to the dailyworldnewsreport.com, Mr. Phelps said the rather hostile method of making his son realise “the danger of exploring other religions” has altered their relationship, but was quick to attribute it to his son’s “exposure to an evil religion”.
