A Makurdi Chief Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday ordered the remand of a  teenager handset repairer, Terhile Torkuma, who allegedly raped a 15-year-old.

The prosecutor, Insp. Hyacinth Gbakor, had submitted that Torkuma conspired with three others to abduct and rape the teenage girl while she was on her way to the market.

Gbakor said that the incidents occurred on Jan. 5.

He told the court that the rape victim was going to the Katsina-Ala Market to buy zips for sewing.

The prosecutor said that the teenage girl was found unconscious the following day near a river.
