See what an artist has used bamboo to create

The artist created insects ranging from the wiry whiskers of grasshoppers to the veiny wings wings of dragonflies and cicadas.

It is completely mind blowing how a Japanese artist, Noriyuki Saitoh made use of just bamboo to create variety of insects.

The creations are so adorable and the creativity that has been brought to bare is amazing.

The artist created insects ranging from the wiry whiskers of grasshoppers to the veiny wings wings of dragonflies and cicadas, and the attention to detail in Noriyuki Saitoh’s bamboo insects is breathtaking.

The natural versatility of bamboo really helps, allowing the artist and his team to bend, score and layer the material to capture every little detail almost to perfection, but that alone could not have resulted in this incredible result if much skill is not put to use.

On his website, Noriyuki wrote, “Insects I create are never real. Since we are not preparing specimens and replicas, we strictly measure the dimensions and prioritize the appearance impressions, features, and senses rather than proportions being created exactly.”

The talented artist added that, “People’s eyes appreciate small works. We compensate gaps and colors of genuine and works with knowledge, experience, and imagination. I think that it is fun to appreciate this bamboo work.”

Here are some of Noriyuki Saitoh’s incredibly detailed bamboo insects.
