The Neoplan station in Kumasi was thrown into a state of shock and disbelief when three species of snakes were on board a bus from Accra to Kumasi.

The snakes, about a metre long each, were found when the bus grounded and the baggage handlers began unpacking the luggage of travellers.

The discovery of the snake in the bus, with registration number GT 2584-16, brought activities at the station to a standstill for close to 45 minutes as large crowds gathered to witness the development.

The snakes were concealed in a white sack with other materials usually used for rituals.

According to the driver, he saw the sack in his bus after the passengers had offloaded their luggage.

Later, it was opened only to discover the three reptiles.

The three snakes were killed.
