Would you sleep with your boss to get a promotion or pay rise?

‘You really have to ask yourself: Am I that into this person I’d be prepared to lose my job over it? If the answer is no, then don’t do it.’

Sometimes there are things we just have to do to be successful in life, like working really hard in school to get the best grades, dominate an interview to get that perfect job,  or get on your knees and go down on your boss.

Sleeping with your boss can 'boost your career and give you a promotion... especially if you're a woman'

It will threaten to destroy your family life and lose you the respect of others.

But having an affair with the boss is seen as likely to boost your career, especially if you are a woman.

Some 37 per cent of office workers said that from their experience those who slept with their superiors were rewarded with a career boost.

More often than not they are in a position of power and influence, and almost always male and married.

Despite all the risks, affairs in the workplace are still a common occurrence.

What you gotto do” to survive, it’s sometimes as simple as seeing the opportunity and taking it.  And ‘slut’ applies to both women and men in this case, even though we know they mean two different things normally.

A survey done by careerbuilder.com found that 34% of workers have hooked up with their boss before.  Unsurprisingly, 47% of the time it was women hooking up with their male supervisor while 38% of men hooked up with their female supervisor.

Another survey by the Center for Work-Life Policy found that 15% of women have slept with their bosses with 37% of those women say they were rewarded.

What about executive women?  15% of women at the director level or above admitted to having affairs with co-workers.  Further statistics show that the vast majority of men would sleep with their female bosses for a promotion.  Some guys might say otherwise, but the rest of us are honest with ourselves.
