Man reportedly stabbed by police [Photos]

A complaint has been lodged against the police by a young man who claims to have been stabbed by an officer.

The victim identified as Oladunjoye Olusola Mathew claims that he was assaulted by the police officer in broad daylight, with his wife and young daughter as witnesses.

LIB reports that Mathew went to the bank to make use of an ATM and reportedly had jumped over a motorcycle on his way to the machine as the walkway was blocked.

The victim claims that the police officers immediately approached him and reportedly stabbed him with a dagger for jumping over the bike.

LIB reports that Matthew was later rushed to the hospital by a police vehicle as he was losing blood from the injury he sustained.

According to the reports, the hospital bill for Matthew's treatments are yet to be paid and since the officer reportedly responsible for the incident still remains unknown, there has been no arrests or justice served.

A complaint was reportedly lodged at the Ibara Police Station and another lodged at the MOPOL base in Oke-Ilewo.
