In London Police Hunt For Two Ghanaians Over Brawl At A Party

The London police have launched a manhunt for two Ghanaians believed to have inflicted gunshot wounds on revelers at a Ghanaian boat party on the Thames.

The party ended in a mass brawl when well-known Afrobeat stars Eazzy and Guru were performing as one man suffered a cracked skull in the melee.

Detectives have released CCTV footage of the two unnamed men they believe masterminded the incident.

Suspect one is described as a black man, approximately 30-years-old, with cornrow braided hair. He was wearing a t-shirt with 'EA7' written on the sleeve and a man bag over his shoulder.

Suspect two is described as a black man, aged around 30-years-old, with short black hair. He was wearing a black t-shirt with 'L7' written across it in white writing.

The melee occurred on November 30 last year on the Tereza Joanne floating venue, at King George V dock in Newham, east London. The police found the 28-year-old victim with what was initially assessed - due to its severity - as a gunshot wound to the head.

The injury was later confirmed to be a puncture wound and a cracked skull, caused by a piece of furniture.

The victim had spent the evening drinking with friends at the venue, which was hosting a Ghanaian event.

Towards the end of the evening a mass disorder took place aboard the boat, involving a large crowd of people.

As a result of the victim's injuries he is now undergoing speech therapy to help restore his speech. He also suffers memory loss and requires physiotherapy due to weakness down the right side of his body.

Officers were later approached by a second injured person, a 20-year-old female who was working behind the bar when she was attacked by a man with a bottle. She received a cut to her head.

"We have pursued several lines of enquiry which have unfortunately not yielded a positive result at this time. We know there were lots of people in the area at the time of the incident and I would urge anyone who was there, or who knows anything about these attacks, to come forward and speak to police,” Detective Constable Bill Stevens, from Newham CID, told the press.
