Taxi driver in police custody for allegedly stealing mobile phone

A taxi driver has been arraigned before the Kumasi Circuit Court for allegedly robbing one Jemima Prempeh of her phone.

The police are searching for his accomplice, Kwadwo Ofori.

The case of the prosecution was that the police had a distress call about an armed robbery case on the Apromase-Kokoben trunk road.

A search was then mounted in adjoining committees where the suspect was arrested at Deduako.
