An Australian man, Michael Martin was hacked to death with an axe and battered by unknown killers in front of his son.

Mr Martin Jr told police that he was tied to a chair and looked on as the men hacked his father to death
Mr Martin Sr was had just returned home from the hospital where he was treated from injuries from a similar a similar home invasion.
He survived the initial attack where he was stabbed in the eye and injured in the head.
He had gone to his home with his son to collect his belongings before moving somewhere he felt was safer.
Tragically the two men fell asleep but were woken in the early hours of June 13 last year, after a number of people broke in to the house in Murwillumbah, Australia.
Mr Martin Jr told police he was battered around the head and tied to a chair, while his father was brutally murdered with an axe.
According to the Australian Daily , officers revealed that the 25-year-old could only look on helps as his father was killed in front of him.
Eventually the young man managed to free himself from the chair and scramble to safety, where he called police.
A 21-year-old woman has been charged with attempted murder in connection with the first attack on Mr Martin Sr.
Police have accused Jessica Honey Fallon of being hired to kill the 46-year-old Australian in the original incident on April 7.
She will next appear before the same court on Thursday, February 26.
Police have not arrested anyone over the second incident, where Mr Martin Sr was killed, but are reportedly confident of finding the culprits.
