A man who was reportedly taking his son to school on Tuesday morning has drowned after trying to save his son who was reportedly drowning.

Adomonline.com reported that the man dived into the floods that came as a result of a downpour in certain parts of Accra.

Reports say though the son whose name is only known as Prince survived, the father was carried away by the flood and dumped into a nearby river called Lafa.

The incident happened at Odorgonno Senior High School at Awoshie, a suburb of Accra and onlooker looked helpless and terrified as they saw the man eventually submerge in the river.
