A woman from Vanderbijlpark in South Africa set herself ablaze in the presence of her husband after realising that the man had been cheating on her.

Felicia Mokeka, 35, sustained first degree burn injuries and she has now regretted inflicting such a pain and destruction on her body because of a man.

In an interview with the Daily Sun, her advice to other women was that “No man is worth it,” she claimed, adding that “I only survived because God wanted me to teach others through my mistakes.”

Felicia further warned other women that “It doesn’t help to try and keep your marriage alive if it is dead. You only harm yourself.”

According to Africanspotlight.com, it all started when the mother of two chose to surprise her husband one day by coming home early and hiding herself in the room.

Reports say when the man arrived home, he was speaking with another woman on phone and their conversation was on a loudspeaker.

Felicia said she could hear all their conversations, and at a point when the suspected mistress asked of her from the husband, his response was: “Oh, that one. I don’t know where she is and I don’t care.”

Felicia said the man “was shocked to see me there,” and ironically she said “We had a good life before. We were a great couple. Everyone wanted to be like us.”

Felica was so peeved that she poured a bottle of methylated spirit she found in the room on her body and then set fire to herself. The injury was so severe that Felicia said even the doctors were surprised she was able to survive.

Thankfully, she said “I am able to do everything for myself and I am grateful for that.”
