Alhaji Dawood In Court, Denied Bail

Alhaji Mohammed Dawood, Nayele Ametefehs alleged facilator appeared in court today following allegations of his involvement in the transfer of about 12kg of cocaine to the UK.

This will be his second appearance in court over the issue. Last Thursday, proceedings were adjourned to allow prosecution ample time to further investigate the case.

Mr Dawood (Daud) denied reports that he was arrested upon return to the country, stating that he had presented himself to the Bureau after consultations with his lawyer.

He pleaded not guilty to all charges leveled against him but has not denied knowing the accused, Nayele Ametefeh, aka Ruby Angel, who has since pleaded guilty in a court in the United Kingdom.

Reports over the weekend had it that his lawyer has come out to alleged that the businessman was acting under the influenced of love and had met the lady only few weeks earlier to her arrest.
