The trio were among suspects paraded by the state Police Commissioner, Muhammed Katsina at the state police headquarters, Eleyele, Ibadan.

The CP said the command's pre-election efforts also led to the arrest of the armed robbers after they had earlier snatched a Toyota Camry from one Madam Oluwafolakemi Fabode in Akure, Ondo State, and thereafter proceeded to Oyo State and attacked Joba Pharmacy and a filling station at Iroko on Oyo/Ibadan road.

"Investigation revealed that the leaders of the robbery gang, Boluwaji Olawumi, John Isaac and Fagboyegun Wale, were among those that escaped in the Ekiti jail break on November 30, 2014, where they were awaiting trial for armed robbery and murder."
