Prison wardens say they do not know how the suspect got a razor blade into his cell for such an act. The Police CID has started an investigation into the matter.

Authorities at the Ankaful Maximum Security Prisons in the Central Region are in shock after a male inmate slashed a fellow prisoner’s penis today (Monday).

According to 3news the suspect used a razor blade to cut the penis after the victim refused to be sodomised by his colleague.

This is not the suspect’s first attempt at trying to sodomise the victim without succeeding.

When the prison officers got to the cell they saw the victim lying helplessly in a pool of blood. He was subsequently rushed to the Interberton Hospital for surgery after the Prison’s infirmary administered first aid.

Meanwhile, the Police Criminal Investigations Department has started investigating the matter.
