Snake measuring 33ft discovered at a construction site in Brazil

Construction workers filmed the snake being lifted in a crane which showed the reptile’s enormous body with yellow spotted belly.

The snake was discovered after an explosion at a dam construction site in Altamira, Pará.

Other workers could be seem in the picture with their phones close to the reptile take pictures to post online.

The snake, which weighs 42kg, is also one meter in diameter.

The anaconda is among the largest discovered in the world.

The longest snake recorded in the Guinness World Record measures 25 ft 2in long is currently by Medusa, a snake in Kansas City, US.

The video, which was upload on Youtube, has been criticised by some in the comments.

One commentator said: "Human be like 'oh look a giant rare snake and it maybe the last species on this earth, so lets kill it and show it to the world'."

Another said: "I'm not sure this is real, but if it is, shame on these people for killing it! A snake that big has probably been alive for a very long time now, just to be killed for a few pictures? What a waste."
