Singer collaborates with Dior to release new range of eyewear

Rihanna shared images of the glasses on her Instagram which will be sold exclusively at Dior stores in early June.

Singer, Rihanna has collaborated with Dior to produce a futuristic line up of sunglasses that are too cool for school.

Rihanna who also happens to be the brand’s ambassador has the collection named after her.

This will actually be the first time the fashion powerhouse is allowing a brand ambassador the opportunity to create a line for the brand.

One of them will be available in six different colours ranging from silver, pink, blue, green and red styles which will go for $840 while a deluxe 24-karat gold-plated version will sell for $1,950.  Rihanna modeled the frames which were shot by Jean-Baptiste Mondino in a body suit and purple lipstick.

According to Rihanna in the press release by Dior,  La Forge from “Star Trek” was her inspiration for the frames. “I’ve always been obsessed with his eyewear, and when I got to Dior and saw all the materials I could play with, it all just came together,” she said.  Check out the new frames:
