After she and her husband arrived at the independence square for the event on Saturday, January 7, 2017, she started trending on social media especially because of how she was dressed for the occasion.

The Second Lady was looking regal in African Print, artistically designed with beads which teamed up with a yellow scarf and matching headgear.

Most people on social media praised her stylist but speaking to SwagOfAfricaNews, Bawumia said she styled herself for the historic occasion.

“I styled myself for the inauguration,” she said.

She also indicated that she was surprised at the fact that she is trending on social media since she has no knowledge in styling.
