So Me Nsa Foundation donates 2,000 exercise books & pens to Mamprobi Methodist Primary

Presenting the items to the school, Chief Executive Officer and founder of the foundation, Mrs. Delali Greenstock, underscored the important role education plays in the life of an individual and the country as a whole.

She mentioned that as a social organization that wants to touch lives across Africa and build hope for a better future, the foundation thought it prudent to drive a positive change through quality education – a reason it has made it a point to reach out to the future leaders of the country.

“We believe that every child deserves a chance to be well educated no matter their background. Nobody has the right to choose which family to be born into so when we see children with potential, we try to help them as much as possible. This ten thousand books and pens project is aimed at helping the children and making them feel comfortable in school. We also try to pick pupils who are bright and needy and support them. This is the little we can do to support them. Definitely, we will extend the gesture to others schools in and outside the Greater Accra region,” she said.

Accompanied by some members of her team, Mrs. Greenstock interacted with the pupils and challenged them to take their studies seriously. She urged them to among other things cultivate the habit of reading and acquire more knowledge for a bright future.

Deputy headmaster of the school, Mr. George Quagraine expressed his school’s appreciation and commended So Me Nsa Foundation for the gesture.

The pupils were refreshed with drinks by the kind courtesy Kasapreko Company Limited, producers of Awake Mineral Water, Royal Drinks and Superstar Fruit Drink.

The first phase of the ‘10k books’ project has been realized with support from Rt. Rev. Hilliard Dela Dogbe (Bishop - W. West Africa, A.M.E Zion Church), Mrs. Nelson (ICGC, Possibility church), Rev. George Mingle (Omanfofor Ltd), Mr. Ebenezer Armah (Canon Workshop), Mr. Prince Wilson (IOM), Mr. Perry Nyantakyi and Mrs. Mabel Offei(Japan Motors), Mr. Solomon Amo Badu (Branch Manager of Star Assurance - Dansoman Branch), Dr. Osa Olayemi (Chief Medical Officer, Nyaho Medical Center), Mr. Baafi and Mr. Lamptey (Omanfofor Ltd), Mr. Samuel Dzegblor, Auntie Mary and the entire Sikanku Family.
