Okyeame Quophi punches Sarkodie over ‘History in The Making Concert’

Okyeame Quophi, now Quophi Okyeame in a Facebook post asked that history should not be distorted as Akyeame made history by performing at the Apollo Theatre in 2000.

Okyeame Quophi, a former member of the defunct music duo, Akyeame has said that the group was first to have performed at Apollo Theatre in New York not Sarkodie who had a show at the venue last Saturday.

The show organized by TM Entertainment saw acts from Ghana, Nigeria and the USA including Lighter Tod, Jadiluc, Banky W, Bisa K.Dei, Kwaw Kese, E.L, The Compozers and Shatta Wale.

“Akyeame Was the first Hiplife Duo to play at the Appollo Theatre to a mix crowd so huge the police came to stop the show. This was in 2000 with daddy lumber. Don't distort the history.Which history is in the making??” he wrote.
