Sisqó, Dru Hill to shut down Accra

Organisers have announced that popular Ghanaian hiplife duo Akatayie will be performing on the night and a few of the current leading acts will also be on stage.

American singer Sisqó will be in Ghana with the famous R&B group Dru Hill this December to perform at the 2015 edition of the annual “Back in the Day”.Sisqó in the mid and late 90s became a world favourite with his mega hits ‘Unleash The Dragon’ and ‘Thong Song’.Though he has solo tracks which became world hits, Sisqó is lead singer for the Dru Hill group.“Back in the Day” has become an annual concert organised by Empire Entertainment and aims at bringing back ‘old school’ artistes mostly from the hiphop, soul, hiplife, and crank genres, whose works have stood the test of time, on one stage.Organisers have announced that popular Ghanaian hiplife duo Akatayie will be performing on the night and a few of the current leading acts will also be on stage.A release issued in Accra by Empire Entertainment said “fans should expect nothing less with the fast approaching third edition of Back in the Day Concert as American hiphop group Dru Hill with its lead singer Sisqo get ready to give off every single pint of their energy on Saturday, 19th December, 2015.The whole nation will be completely shut down!“Get your KarlKani and Fila boots ready, your afro hair, jelly curls, half bow and punk hairs done. Look for your Fubu baggy jeans, Pepe and Pele Pele t-shirts and let’s relive old school days as Sisqo together with the other members of Dru Hill thrill you with old time hits such as Unleash The Dragon, Thong Song, Dance for Me, Incomplete, Never Make A Promise, In my Bed and so many more,” the release noted.
