Multiple Ghanaian award-winning dancehall artiste, Charles Nii Armah Mensah popularly known as Shatta Wale has described himself as the smartest artiste in Africa making money from his career as a musician.

According to him, most of his colleagues see him as a braggart but to him, he frequently talks about his wealth in order to motivate the Ghanaian artiste, to encourage them to strive to attain higher heights like some foreign artistes have done.

He said he does not see WizKid as a super star although some Ghanaian acts rate him higher.

According to him, most of his colleague-musicians behave weird and awkward around Wizkid hence rating him as the best and richest African artiste, but he [Shatta Wale] see's him as an ordinary person when they meet on the same platform.

He added that "I will not see Wizkid and be stunned, I rather want him to see me and be amazed because I don’t see anything extraordinary about him, even though he claims to the best African artiste…".
