BrymO who was reacting to the murder of African-Americans Alton Sterling and Philando Castile by the police within the space of 24 hours. The singer who just released his fifth studio album '' tweeted "black man suffers at home, black man suffers abroad. Black man suffers everywhere, black man likes to suffer."

Not fazed by the reactions his tweet caused, BrymO went on to make more controversial tweets and lash out at a few fans.
On June 4, 2016 BrymO advised a fan on Twitter to drop out of school and chase his dreams. His tweet went on to trend on Twitter and received a lot of negative feedback.
BrymO, in an interview with THE NET in April, 2016 explained a lot of things have changed about him since he became a father.“Fatherhood is another phase in one’s life, and I am learning and getting better at it every day. A lot has changed too, I now pay closer attention to my actions and how they’ll reflect on the people closest to me”.
The singer welcomed the birth of his child, Waju, on March 27, 2015, with his baby mama, Esse Kakada.
