Pupils learn ICT with stones at Assin Asamankese

Pupils of the Assin Asamankese D/A Primary School in the Assin South District in the Central region uses stones to learn Information and communication technology (ICT).

A video which has gone viral on social media shows some pupils practicing how to click a computer mouse with stones during an ICT class.

The pupils are told to click using the stone as the mouse because they don't have access to a computer for the lesson.

A class six teacher Augustine Kusi said he has no access to a single computer since he started teaching at the school for so many years.

He said "Since I came here those who were in class two are now in class six and we haven’t had anything like a computer that we can use to teach."

He added that, he directs the students on how to use the computer mouse by using stones during classes hours.
