Secretary to the council, Ustaz Ahmed Seidu, in an interview with Accra-based Citi FM said the video must be pulled down from social media.
In the video that has gone viral on social media, nine females and four males were seen gyrating their waist in a ‘profane’ fashion that the school authorities apparently thought was against the doctrines of the Islamic Religion.

According to reports, the students themselves shared the video on their personal Facebook pages and on YouTube after filming their act.
However, little did they know that the circulation of the video would prompt such a swift reaction by the school authorities. They summoned the said students for questioning and later invited their parents.

Management of the school has confirmed that the case has been referred to the Disciplinary Committee of the school, and subsequently reported to the Ashanti Regional Education Directorate.
It further indicated that, it is waiting for the outcome of the committee’s investigation in order to determine the way forward.
But Ustaz Ahmed Seidu said the students must be punished.
"They should be punished to serve as a deterrent to others. As a council, we will try to sit with the authorities and see a punishment that will be mild. We are not calling for them to be expelled from school because we are told they are final year students. So they should be made to write their exams," he added.
