The Akufo-Addo government has decided to absorb the GHC75 registration fees of candidates in the public Junior High School.

This was made known by WAEC in statement signed by Mrs W. Addy Lamptey to the Metropolitan, Municipal and District Directors of Education.

“Please ensure that the correct type of school (private or public) is indicated during the registration as this has implication on payment of fees for the examination,” the statement noted.

WEAC has also asked them to provide the Council with a list of private and public junior high schools in their districts for validation.

But warned: “The Council will nullify entries of private schools that select school type wrongly and thereby do not pay fees.”
