“I feel that this is a milestone for Ghanaian music… For Ghanaian music to be recognised within the realms of the Grammy which is the biggest you can imagine… and also being African and being able to have a nomination within the reggae category is a big thing for both African music and African artistes. It’s for Ghana,” Rocky Dawuni said.
Asked what he did right that merited the nomination, Dawuni said it was borne out of hard work and being exceptional.
“It is years of hard work and making excellent records and albums… You challenge yourself every time and you also push the boundaries,” he noted.
